Human Farm Investigation Items and Key Objects

Quest pieces, gifts, and evidence Iori must deliver on schedule.

Last updated:

Inventory role

Items in Human Farm : Investigation : bridge farm life, city errands, and police reporting. Some objects are quest mandatory for investigation progress; others unlock optional scenes or epilogue lines. Wrong delivery or early consumption can permanently miss flags — always save before handing over objects marked in Scene Checklist or True Ending Checklist.

This reference describes item categories and habits. Exact names vary by English/Japanese/Chinese localization on Steam.

Quest and evidence items

Evidence packages, photos, documents, and recordings come from city investigations — City Quests. Deliver to the handler specified in quest log:

Delivering to wrong NPC may remove item without investigation credit.

Gifts and affection objects

Gifts for Aina, Karen, Alice, or handlers shift dialogue and scene availability. Not all gifts are optimal — some are one-time.

Rules of thumb:

  • Buy or fetch gift before evening window same day
  • Do not consume gift items as generic buffs if checklist marks them
  • Stack gift delivery with city travel using run mode — Settings and Run Mode

Consumables and tools

Some builds include stamina or minigame helpers for farm RPG segments. Cheats may auto-clear action parts — Cheats and Unlockers — making consumables optional for gallery hunters.

First story run: use items as intended before enabling cheats.

Key items vs regular inventory

Key items stay in dedicated menu slots and cannot be sold. Regular items may be limited stack counts. RPG Maker conventions apply — if an item appears in Key tab, assume story relevance.

One-time pickup locations

Many items spawn once on map tiles or reward screens:

Missed pickup may require reloading earlier save — few items respawn.

Items and endings

True ending checklist often includes specific handoffs — True Ending Checklist. Missing item blocks finale even at full gallery completion.

Scene unlocker does not add items to inventory retroactively.

Demo items

Demo Day 1 introduces basic fetch quest if any; full item roster requires paid game — Demo Day 1.

Patch interactions

Official Patch may restore item-gated scenes without changing item names. If guides disagree, note Steam build ID.

Item workflow checklist

  1. Pick up visible items same day
  2. Read quest log recipient
  3. Save before delivery
  4. Confirm handler dialogue acknowledged receipt
  5. Mark Scene Checklist entry

Items are silent gatekeepers — treat every key object as potentially ending-critical until proven optional.

Keep this systems › items page open beside your Steam save list when comparing flags across days.

One-time item discipline

Gift items consumed in flavor dialogue do not refund. Before selling inventory clutter mid-game, search Scene Checklist for character-specific requirements on upcoming days.

Inventory audit nights

Mid-game inventory clutter hides quest objects. Audit consumables before festival nights when multiple handlers request deliveries.

Gift item caution

Consumable gifts used in flavor dialogue do not refund. Cross-check Scene Checklist before selling mid-game inventory clutter.

Quest item icons

Quest objects use distinct inventory icons on most builds. Screenshot inventory before festival nights.
